Noticing Nature Project

“Roger had a unique way of looking at the world. a child really. I put it like that because he saw through the eyes of a child as he was perpetually amazed by it and was astonished by the smallest thing.”

Robert Macfarlane, The Wild Place of Essex – BBC Natural World

Noticing Nature is a project aimed at encouraging people of all ages to really see the wildlife on their doorstep and to celebrate its beauty. These photographs were taken in my local area Рeither in my own garden or on trips in Sussex and neighbouring counties. All of these photographs take a closer look at the things we take for granted, revealing their hidden beauty.
